Meet Annie Beach, LPC
Take a look into my world
Hi! I’m Annie.
Therapy has always been important to me. My own healing journey inspires me to walk with others as they move toward healing.
When I became a therapist, my own therapy became even more important. Not just my own therapy - but my healing. Real healing. It deeply imprinted on me that in order to consistently show up for others, I had to show up for myself - by doing my own healing work.
My own need for healing kept me searching beyond the traditional therapy modalities. I needed more, and I knew that there were others like me out there. I needed something deeper; something that could touch the roots of those weeds that were planted years ago.
I studied; I read; I attended trainings. Each new thing I hoped would be that ‘magic wand’ that would allow me to declare myself ‘healed.’
I now consider myself a ‘healing healer.’
When I stumbled upon Internal Family Systems (IFS), there was something that resonated with me immediately. And while this definitely isn’t a magic wand, it is absolutely transformative. Personally and professionally.
I dove in. And I’ve dedicated myself to not only learning, but embodying this IFS thing…not only as a model of therapy, but as a way of life. It has shifted how I see myself, the world, my clients.
And this…embodiment…this is what I bring into the therapy room with you. Together we will get to know the many parts that make up all of you. And the core Self that is at the center of you. You will begin to relate with yourself differently. Then it will ripple outward into your relationships. Personal relationships. Professional relationships. You will begin to embody a life of healing connection that will revive in you qualities that you may have forgotten such as creativity, clarity, curiosity, presence, playfulness, or patience.
My Approach
Internal Family Systems
When I finished my IFS Level One training, I was hooked! What many people don’t realize is that these trainings are experiential in nature - in such a way that you’re doing your own work! It’s intense. It’s one of those things that people go in thinking they’re learning this cool thing to take to clients, yet they quickly discover it’s so much deeper. We are healing as we go through these trainings. Our healing experience is what further motivates us to bring it to others!
A healing healer
Each additional training I took, propelled me deeper into my own healing, which rippled out into the therapy room where I walk alongside my clients in their healing. I continued with more trainings (if you’re curious which ones I have done keep scrolling). My belief and experience with the IFS model increased.
Then I applied to be a program assistant (PA) for a Level One training. Each Level One training is 80+ hours of a combination of teaching, demos, small group discussion/practice. This experience added a depth I didn’t know possible - I had the honor, along with 11 other PAs, to assist and support talented Lead and Assistant Trainers as they taught the model to participants. It continued to facilitate my own healing work, and as I helped participants practice the skills they were learning along with navigating their own parts getting activated. I was also greatly impacted by the power of the group experience.
